Wall Sconce Installation?
I am trying to install a new wall sconece. The existing wall sconce outlet has previously never been used, it was just covered by a plastic outlet plate. When I removed the plate I found two sets of four wires. The four wires have the colors black, red, blue, and brown. Since I was expected only black and white (maybe ground green) I am not sure how to proceed. Any suggestions on the proper way to wire up this scones?
Use a volt meter and find the , hot, neutral, and ground wires . Some one previously used this as a junction box.
