Did the show on NG turn you off to electricity?
I surely hope that anybody wanting to get into the field of electricity watched that show on NG, He (the host) bragged about touching 27,000 volts, but failed to mention it could possibly only take a half of an amp to kill you, depending on conditions ( weather, personal Hygiene, weight etc....), The only thing he said that was truthful was that electricity ALWAYS takes the path of least resistance! I could go on and on about this subject, But I am retired and just had to say something. Oh heck...ok when he was in the helicopter talking about using hot sticks (that's what they are called)....they normally are just checking for hot spots in the high lines (possibly weakened lines that may need attention) But for the most part, there is no need to worry about our national electric grid, It won't be be entrusted to that thrill seeker, Unless you don't go out and VOTE November 4th!!!! Oh my question is did that show turn you off from pursuing a career in the electrical field?
"half of an amp to kill you"
try a lot lower than that - GFCI's trip on a few milliamps of current mismatch. Like 20
