Problems with inlet tube on toilet?
Water does not travel through the bowl refill tube but drips from the inlet valve/tube area. It seems to drip down the "float arm and float ball"
Check to make sure the shut off valve is open all the way.
If so, there might be something clogging the tube.
most ballcocks have a removable top.
It's kind of tricky. but turn off the water, push down on the top keeping the float arm in the up position, and turn counter-clockwise about 1/4 turn.
It should come off.
Some of them have 4 screws holding it on.
Just unscrew those.
Now check the diaphragm for any foreign obstructions. That's the rubber plunger that open and shuts the waters flow.
Then, leaving the cap off, get a largish sized cup and place it upside-down over the inflow tube and turn on the water.
There should be a good amount of force coming out and this will flush out any obstructions.
Now just put the cap back on and see how it works.
If that doesn't fix the problem, you need a new ballcock.
