so its like this. i tied two 1/2-1" ropes together and draped it across a sturdy branch on our tree so that one end would be dangling down and the other is opposite to it. i want to make it so that it requires two people to use this device and climb the tree. it'll be like this: one person is wearing a belt or something that is strapped to the rope.the other person is holding the other end of the rope and will pull on it while the person strapped to the rope is sort of rappelling on the tree. I thought about it and figured out that the only risks are either (1) the person can lose grip and fall to their death, (2) the rope can fray and the person can fall to their death,(3) the branch will somehow break, making the person fall to their death. the two people will be 12 and 11 year old kids. will my little plan work? if you have any ideas or improvisions, can you tell me so that this will be safer. I dont want to purchase a $1000 device for them.
Its better to buy the device because if something does happen your medical bill is going to be over 1000.
