Toggle Touch Pad

I sometimes play games on my laptop, and a First-person shooter with the touch pad is insane, so I plug in my PS/2 mouse. But, every time I do that, it sets the touch pad back to default settings IE if I just barely touch the pad it thinks I click. When this happens 2 things occur, I shoot my gun and the PS/2 mouse stops responding and give primary control to the touch pad. I have already tried to disable the touch pad and plug in the mouse, but when I do this it re-enables it with default settings. I don't want to disable it permanently, I want that if I plug a mouse in it stops working, and when I unplug the mouse it activates again. OR if you know a way that I can plug a mouse in and keep the settings I've previously set, that would be the proffered method.

I tried to disable tap to click, but after the mouse plugs in all setting are default...
