Im taking IGCSE English as a second language and I have my orals tomorrow. I was wondering is it ok if I go off the subject? For example I was practising and the topic was electricity and instead of talking about the uses and effects and saying scientific stuff about electricity I made up this story about a scientist called Ben who invented electricity. He met a fairy called Tinkerbell and she showed him how to use pixie dust to create light.
So is it ok if I do that? Or is that not allowed? I find it much easier to make up stories than talk about real life scientific topics
Im also taking ESL june 2010, it is permissible for you to talk about your personal views or stories in the way that suites you, in other words you control the conversation but make sure that you include all points in the paper as marks depend on relevance to question.
