Anquan Boldin or Braylon Edwards wk 8?
Boldin is hurt (obviously) and is going against the number 1 ranked pass def of Carolina.
Edwards is inconsistent but is playing against Miami who is starting rookie corners. And also the Jets have Cotchery back so Braylon shouldn't be double covered.
I already have Edwards plugged in instead of Boldin but if there is an argument to switch them, please let me know.
Please don't suggest any waiver options. Just pick either Boldin or Edwards and tell me why. Thanks. I will decide the best answer.
You have to go with Boldin here. The statistics support this position. In PPR scoring, Boldin has scored 76.8 fantasy points including 10 fantasy points or more in each week over the last three weeks. Braylon Edwards has 56.7 fantasy points and only scored 2.4 fantasy points last week.
Edwards numbers will directly correlate with Mark Sanchez level of play. Sanchez is a rookie so he is going to be wildly inconsistent (as he has). So, there will be weeks like 3 weeks ago, when Edwards scored 17.4 fantasy points, but they will be followed by weeks like last week where he had 2.4 fantasy points.
On the flip side, you know what Boldin gives you because you have a consistent veteran QB in Warner. Sure, Boldin isn't going to put up 25 fantasy points, but you know he'll get you a minimum of 10 and I can't say the same about Edwards.
But, you should go with your gut. I just happen to prefer Boldin based on the reasons above.
