Is my outlet grounded?
I have my TV plugged into an ungrounded outlet via a surge suppressor. The surge suppressor initially read "ungrounded", however since I've run the television cable (cablevision) through the surge suppressor, it now reads "grounded". When I put my circuit tester into the outlet with the surge the suppressor plugged in, it also reads "grounded". As soon as I unplug the surge suppressor it goes back to "open ground". So is the coaxial cable providing a ground?
