DO THESE PRODUCE HARMFUL GREENHOUSE GASES?
forest fires
livestock
homes heated w/ solar panels
dead fish on the shore
sand storms
sail boats
homes heated w/ electricity
homes heated w/ natural gas
rice paddies
cares, trucks, and buses
sawmills
slaughterhouses
volcanic eruptions
swamps
garbage dumps and landfills
hurricanes and tornadoes
automotive plant shops
oil spills
car assembly plants
crop dusters
IF THEY DO PRODUCE HARMFUL G.H.G., what kind of greenhouse gases do they emit?
PLEASE HELP ME thnx
forest fires- Yes they do emit C02 but the C02 they emit is part of the carbon cycle and a natural emission
livestock- Livestock especially cattle emit methane, a potent greenhouse gas (GHG), and the equipment that is used the care and transport of the cattle use fossil fuels that emit carbon into the atmosphere
homes heated w/ solar panels- The manufacture of the solar panels emits Co2 and a few other GHGs but once built and in place emit no more GHGs
dead fish on the shore- Once again dead fish emit carbon (or better stated the bacteria that dine on the dead fish) that is part of the carbon cycle, but the fish also emits some methane during decay.
sand storms- Generally no GHGs
sail boats- If they have an auxiliary engine that uses fossil fuels then that engine will emit GHGs. During manufacture a the process will emit GHGs.
homes heated w/ electricity- Not the house as per say, but it depends on where the electricity comes from. If the electricity comes from a coal burning plant then heating that house with electricity adds to the emissions from that electrical plant. All power plants no matter their type, if they are made from concrete then they emit CO2 during the curing of that concrete.
homes heated w/ natural gas- natural gas is a fossil fuel and emits GHGs.
rice paddies- Rice patties are right now the number one source of methane on the planet
cares, trucks, and buses- All vehicles that use fossil fuels emit GHGs.
sawmills- It depends on their source of power, so likely yes, unless it’s a very old design that is powered by water turbine.
slaughterhouses- Yes slaughter houses use power that is likely to produce GHGs and one must take into consideration the transport of the animals by truck to move the animals to that slaughter house.
volcanic eruptions- Yes volcanoes do indeed produce substantial amount of GHGs, mostly CO2 but there are others. However, volcanoes do not product GHGs in the amounts that global warming deniers would have you believe.
swamps- Swamps do produce both CO2 that is part of the carbon cycle and also a source of methane
garbage dumps and landfills- Dumps and landfills are a source of methane.
hurricanes and tornadoes- No GHG’s
automotive plant shops- (paint is it?) Once again these use energy which likely comes from a GHG emitting power plant, but the chemicals in the paint can also be a source of GHGs
oil spills- Oil as it breaks down will produce carbon (CO2), methane and other GHGs
car assembly plants-Same as the other factories and plants above
crop dusters- The engine uses fossil fuels that emit CO2 and the chemicals that are sprayed can be a source of GHGs depending on the chemical being applied.
