Would this idea work?
MDI is touting an air car that can refill itself. It refills itself by collecting air as your driving, heating it up, and then putting it in your engine. Unfortunately the heater used to heat the air is powered by gas. Would it work if they changed to a solar powered heater?
no.
you can't heat it up then put it in the engine.
it has to heat up in the engine.
that makes it expand.
in addition, just heating air wouldn't do it.
that doesn't have enough energy.
keep in mind, the smallest cars today use something like 50 hp.
that's a lot.
