Smart Dimmer Switches
2000 chevy malibu dimmer switch
my sister has a chevy malibu and her instrument clusters went out, the light that lights up the speedometer, her back tail lights also went out. could this be cause of a no good dimmer switch? her head lights work and her brake lights, i was wondering if some how there relayed together somehow. and all the fuses are good i checked them all even under the hood. please answer only if you know what the problem could be, dont leave a answer like take it to a mechanic or go to the dealer, i do my own repairs. thanks and no smart mouth answers either
Dash and tail lights are usually on the same circuit. This dimmer switch will only control the dash-light side of the system.
Double check your fuses or possibly the lighting switch.
