Replacing a single pole light switch?
I replaced a single pole light switch. When the switch is off the tester still has a faint glow at the light fixture wires. Also, if one lead is attached to the white wires in the switch box, and the other lead is touched to the metal face of the switch, I get a full glow on the tester. Is it a bad ground? Are wires touching somewhere? The wiring in the switch box is as follows: the whites are connected with a wire nut. The blacks are attached to the switch. The grounds are pigtailed together and attached to the switch ground screw. Thanks for your time.
