Single Gang Fan

Single Gang Fan
How to add light and switch to existing circuit?

I am trying to tie in a new light over my bar to an existing circuit. I want to control this light with its own switch. Ideally I would like to use the nearby single gang wall box and replace the single switch with a double switch that will fit in this box (this is how I installed a ceiling fan in the bedroom... I don't want to cut drywall). Can I tap into this circuit from here to power my new light? If so how would I go about doing this? I am still a beginner when it comes to electrical work so detailed descriptions are greatly appreciated.

I was thinking of one of these type of switches: http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productList&Ne=4294967294&Ntt=switch&Ntk=i_products&category=Two+and+Three+Single+Pole+Switches&N=4294948757 but what kind would I need exactly?

Here is a diagram of how the current switch is hooked up to the can lights in the living room: http://andrew-e73x7.posterous.com/

Any help is greatly appreciated!

You will need to fish a 14-2 from the switch box to the ceiling box. Connect the white to the rest of the whites, and the ground to the rest of the grounds. On the new switch, connect the hot to the hot terminal, and the switch legs from the old light and the new light to the 2 switch terminals. Connect a ground pigtail to the ground screw and you are set. Hope this helps.

EDIT: Gee, Jim. In 50 years, you'd think you would have learned to count wires. Adding a 14-2 adds 2 wires to the box, since grounds all count as 1.
