My laptop shows the battery is charged, but when i disconnect the wall power it shuts off?
i took my battery out of my laptop to save battery life, but when i put it back in and unplugged the wall power it shut down. it even shows the battery in and charging or charged but it still wont go off battery power. ive only had it for about 3 months now. and my laptop knows the battery is in and shows how much charge is on it. people say its a dead battery, but that sounds wrong. what should i do?
Definitely a new battery should fix the problem. Since the charger can't charge the dead battery and when you unplug the power cord and put in the battery (and its dead) it has no power to run the laptop.
They shouldn't be that expensive, you can check: http://www.topmicrousa.com to see if they have any.
