Violent vibration from front-end.?
00 Impala LS, 100k. Transmission replaced 100 miles ago along with CV half shafts. Drivers side hub assy is being shipped to be for a different vibration. New vibration started after I got the car back from the trans shop. It only happens at lower speeds while accelerating. Can happen while turning or going straight. Checked all the cv joints and they are in fine shape (brand new). Front engine mounts look fine. Rear engine mounts, tranny mounts? Not too sure what else it could be, thoughts?
I would have the front tires moved to the back and see if you still have the vibration. If you do then it's possible that you need an alignment with all the front end work that was done to it. If it goes away or it is not as bad you may have a bad tire or a tire out of balance. I would first take it back to the transmission shop and have them double check everything. Have the manager ride with you to feel the vibration so he understand when it happens.
