I want to construct a water feature with water cascading from the top of a rock pumped from a hidden pond?
I cannot quite work out how to support the rock to ensure the water drains back into the "pond" below. The pond of course would be hidden from view by smaller stones around the base of the rock.
Set up a mock-up of what you want to achieve using a hose to represent the water feature. When you turn it on, you will get some idea of flow direction and how it will look, and if its not right, you will at least be able to play about with it till you get it how you want it to be. I would suggest using waterproof cement as a fixative when you set up your final design, to bed your rock into, and any visible bits of cement can be hidden by pressing smaller stones into it, and then using trailing plants as a feature. I'd love a waterfeature in my garden, but I'm disabled and cant fit one!! (E-x garden designer)
