How to find out max output of wall outlet?
I live in an old home and I have lots of stuff plugged into a wall outlet and I wanted to know how I can find out what the max output of a particular one is. Im no electric noob I know how to make circuits so what do I look for inside of the wall plug after removing the cover?

From your question....well.... if you have concerns about the wiring, call an electrician. Electricity can & does kill people. Have ever heard of someone being watercuted or drowning in the middle of the night?
I've got to clear up some errors others have made.
The 80% rule only applies to continuous load circuits
Section 210.19(A)(1)-Conductors,(wire) ....shall have an allowable ampacity not less than the noncontinuous load plus 125% of the continuous load
Section 210.20(A)(1)-Over current Protection (Fuses/breakers)-Continuous & Noncontinuous Loads..... the over current device shall not less than the noncontinuous load plus 125% of the continuous load.
125% is the inverse of 80%--- 15 amps times 80% = 12 amps and 12 amps times 125% = 15 amps
Table 310.16--15 amp wire is rated at a max load of 25 amps, it is already over sized. Footnote refers to 240.4(D) --14 gauge wire shall rated at 15 amps
Section 100 Definitions
Continuous Load----a load where the maximum current is expected to continue for 3 hours or more.
This means almost everything in a home is a noncontinuous load.
Proper size of over current protection should prevent overheating of circuits. Most overheating is caused by 30 amp fuses installed on 15 amp wire.
The NEC does NOT say 180 volt-amps per outlet for a home.
For General Lighting Loads the NEC states:
Section 220.14 (I) states 180 volt-amp load per outlet followed by
Section 220.14(J) that states the above rule does not apply to homes
Table 220.12 states homes shall be 3 volt-amps per square foot. a 1,500 square foot home would be a total of 4,500 volt-amps. Divided by 1800 volt-amps for 15 amp circuits would be 2.5 circuits (or 3, since you can not install half of a circuit), for the General Lighting. This is, of course, a minimum.
This covers most outlets in a home. There are additional requirements for Small Appliance circuits (kitchen outlets), laundries, electric dryers, electric ranges, motors, fixed electric space heating
