is it ok (safe) to replace a 15amp with a 30amp breaker switch on a fuse panel in a average residential home?
when ever my friend want to zap something in his microwave, he must turn off pc monitor, lights, appl., etc or else it will cause the breaker to trip.. would. using a lager capacity switch fix this problem?
Breakers are sized for the size of the wire. Your friend probably has a #14 size on that 15 amp breaker. There are too many appliances on that circuit. Breakers are designed to trip when the load reaches 80 percent. This wire is going to get hot and could potentially catch fire before it trips if the larger breaker doesn't trip.
