New08 Santa Fe, turn key,dash lites up but wont turn over.Clock & radio go dim,starter acts dead. Whack battry?
Got jumped the first time, second time I fixed by turning on/off headlites several times and the starter came to life. Have had full check but can never recreate at repair shop. Sticky solinoid? Electric panel ghost? Only happens once per week. Battery always cks OK.
do you know if your car key has a chip inside? if it does that chip is used to prevent theft and only can be started with your key and sometimes when you have to many keys or metal objects in the same key chain if affects the magnetic signal that the key sends the anti-theft computer inside your vehicle try it one week without anything but the key.
