Mask Used Mig
What Kind Of Respirator Should I Use?

I currently am using a 3M mask with p95 filters but the filters are now dirty and im pondering whether to just replace the filters or buy a better or different respirator. I do various types of work including working with spray paint and other paints that create harmful fumes, i weld with a mig welder (not sure if the respirator applies to this), i do metal and woodwork including cutting, sanding and grinding metal and wood. I do these about every week and am planning on starting grinding, welding and sanding work on my late 50s car. SO i need to know what kind of respirator and/or filter is essential for these types of working environments. thanks

I would get the 3m half facepiece 6000 series. Do not order one online unless you know your size. Sherwin Williams sells them as a normal stock item. I use the 60921 filters for work to cover blasting of lead paint, cutting concrete and painting epoxy, polyurethane paints. Very comfortable with minimal leakage. I could wear it all day if needed.

the options are endless http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/Health/Safety/Products/Catalog/?PC_7_RJH9U5230GE3E02LES9MG812H2_nid=8D5S5LZ17HbeQQFFG1G8R7gl
