What type of Alcohol can a gas a gas engine run off of? BE SPECIFIC?
Hey, I may need this some day. Like in back to the future where they try to run the car on alcohol, but it is too strong so the engine blows out... Is this even possible. Again be specific 
An engine can be run off anything that burns, even solids so long as they are liquefied first.
Each fuel requires an amount of oxygen and releases an amount of power. Alcohol is used in high power applications becuase it has better power making properties then gasoline, as well as a higher resistance to detonation (octane).
Alcohol is not as easy to make to gasoline, at the end of the day it is just as bad or worse as gasoline.
An engine turned for alcohol will generally make slightly more power, but it will guzzle it . Racing is about power not fuel economy.
