How can I wipe my Dell Computer?
I have these disks:
Re-installation DVD for Windows Home Basic. (But I currently have Windows 7 on the computer)
Drivers and Utilities CD for re-installing Dell Webcam Manager
Drivers and Utilities DVD for Dell Inspiron 1525
I have tried looking at other sites to figure out how to do this but even the Dell website won't help me out. My warranty expired :/ My system restore only goes back to when I first installed 7 and there is no Factory System Restore Tab when I click F8 at start up. I am completely frustrated at this point and I just want to get it done in the easiest way possible. I just want it back to Factory settings so I can restart with a fresh slate. Can anyone help me?
Use Dban to wipe the drive. This will make it so that no one can recover any data from your hard drive. Then if you want your computer to be usable to others install using the re-installation DVD and once that is done you will use the other two CDs.
