In a socket set, how does the spin disc work?
I just bought a socket set, and one of the included pieces is a little plastic circle that the box calls a 3/8" spin disc. I can see that it slips over the 3/8" drive wrench, but what does it do?

you use it to tighten a nut , or back it out,
it turns the ratchet, [you use your fingers] rather than using the handle
