I dropped it in water and have a few friends that have told me what they did, so I immediately pulled it out and without any hesitation removed the battery. I did however slide my phone up while taking the battery out by accident, I'm worried that could have caused trouble. But anyways I ran and put it over an air vent to dry and then got on the internet searching what else I can do to save my phone. I also heard that vacuuming it, not blow drying it, can help to get rid of the water so I did that to the best of my ability. Currently it is sitting in a sock completely surrounded by rice. From your experience, what chances does my poor little cell stand?
Rice is supposed to absorb the water and the moisture from the phone.
I use to work for Verizon, so I seen this happen A LOT. On the rare occasion you get your phone to dry - it will only last a month or two after being wet. Usually once the phone gets wet you start to have more and more problems with it. I hope you have insurance!
