ok so im a girl that's not to familiar with cars and names and such so bear with me and here goes a few days ago my trucks headlights weren't working all it was was the switch that you pull to turn them on(the headlights) it was replaced all lights worked fine for about two days when i was driving at night my lights suddenly started blinking and i mean all lights dash lights tail lights and front lights it would blink for about 2 minutes then be normal again well now my headlights work but my dash lights and my tail lights that are suppose to turn on when you turn your headlights on and the little light where the license plate is at doesn't work as well a friend checked it out and said he couldn't figure it out and that a fuse keeps blowing when he switches it any suggestions would be wonderful thank you
It definitely sounds like a direct short, that is when a hot wire (LIVE WIRE) touches metal somewhere in the circuit.I don't know how it went 2 days with no problems but shorts in the wiring can do that,they just have to move a little bit and then you have your short back.Sometimes by wiggling the wires around like where your feet go you will be able to find it.Sometimes that's not so easy you may have to get a continuity tester to check if the wire is all in good shape or if there is a break in it where it is touching metal.It's not an easy process but you might get lucky and find it quickly.Best of luck and I hope that I helped somewhat
