AIRSOFT question AGM M14 gearbox help?
hello, im thinking of getting the agm m14 AEG... i plan to use it as a sniper, so ive been looking into a spring upgrade (Systema M130.. supposed to make it go 400-425 fps). i just wanted to know if anyone knows what version gearbox the AGM M14 has because i need to find the proper dis assembly guide for the gun and such... thanks =]
According to Airsoft GI's "Airsoft 101" Guide:
The M14 uses a Version 7 gearbox.

Oh, and DMR's (automatic sniping weapons, like you're trying to make) should have tightbore barrels, or else it's just a big assault rifle with no accuracy. Plan to invest on one if you don't have one; a standard M14 barrel length is 500mm, while a Socom (short barrel) is around 450mm.
